This is the best sandal I have purchased - way better than other competitors. As other reviewers have stated, these are on the small side - I purchased a 1/2 size larger, and they fit perfectly. This is not uncommon, I have had the same issue with other brands. I have had issues with other sandals where the back strap irritates my Achilles tendon - not with this shoe!Only negative is that these are made in Vietnam, not the USA as stated in the description. At least it's not China.Some have complained about the sizing wearing socks, not an issue for me. And besides, you are not supposed to wear socks with sandals. And if you are concerned about foot odor, use foot powder on the sole base, just like with any other sandal. 'nuff said!Other reviews said to order 1/2 size larger and glad I did. I wear a 9 women's and would normally order a size 7 in men's. So I ordered a 7 1/2 and it fits great! I order men's sandals as they have a firmer support than the women's sandals. And for me, that's great! And I really like the "custom fit" you get with the velcro straps.Sandals are very nice and should last a very long time.It met my expectationsGreat sandals for great value. I keep coming back to the same sandalsMy husband, age 79, is wearing these sandals daily! They fit his ‘unusually shaped’ feet just fine. He has refused to wear sandals in the past 45, yes, forty-five years! His feet are essentially square: 7.5 H. You read that correctly! H width! He LOVES these sandals.Sandal is very well made and very supportive for a sandal.I wore out several pairs of the previous model of sandal and they no longer make them so I bought a pair of these. They are quite different in many ways, good and bad. After 100 miles on pavement:The fit was perfect, the same as the previous sandal model of the same size.Construction is quite different, made of very lightweight foam, with a relatively thin sole at the bottomI expect I will wear though the sole very quickly, the hard part at the bottom is very thinThe top is waterproof, so it doesn't absorb moisture, a big improvement, so it doesn't get stinkyI wouldn't wear the old model in the water, this one I think I canThe top is textured, which is uncomfortable on the bottom of my feet, even after 100 miles.The straps look good but cut the top of my feet up a lot for the first 75 miles. Now I don't notice themThe shape of the sole is very contusive to walking, the heel doesn't drag like the old model.Very comfortable walking sandal, lots of cushion, BUT, the texture under my foot is still irritatingThe top is shaped to hold my foot, and it does, but it also holds rocks and they are hard to shake outIn all, still a very expensive sandal, and hopefully one that will last more than a year before the straps or the sole give out like the previous ones did.It's been quite hard to find the best sandals for my requirements. I needed some that were comfortable over long periods, reasonably rugged and could stand being immersed in water.These seem to fit the bill perfectly. I walked five miles in them on the day they arrived with no problems at all. They are certainly comfortable and appear very well made.I'm taking them to Galapagos in August so will write an update.I was so impressed I bought a second pair of these sandals, sturdy, comfortable & a feel of real quality.Good bit of kit for easy walking lightweight comfy like walking on airComfy, nicely made and perfect for plenty of walking outdoors.Nice sandals
